What Sets Us Apart?
We are a non-profit organization committed to creating personalized healing pathways through animal-assisted activities and holistic approaches, while advocating for systemic change and inclusive environments. We work with the child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health systems to ensure that individuals, especially youth, have a platform for their voices and decision-making. Our goal is to empower and support those navigating systems that often overlook their needs, while promoting healing, cultural affirmation, and active participation in a compassionate, inclusive community.
Our philanthropic efforts are focused on two primary areas:
-
supporting marginalized communities with accessible affirming cultural healing practices
-
promoting animal welfare and adoption
Knightly’s Armor of Strength: You Don’t Have to Fight Alone
-Building Pathways to Suicide Prevention and Healing
Every knight needs armor. Let us be the shield that protects
you from the darkness, and together, we’ll find the light
at the end of the tunnel.
This grant was established in honor of Knightly, a young BIPOC adoptee, whose life was tragically cut short due to the systemic failures in our society, particularly within the mental health and child welfare systems. Knightly’s story is a painful reminder of the barriers faced by marginalized communities, especially in accessing adequate mental health care, resources, and support. In their memory, this grant aims to provide vital funding for mental health services, focusing on suicide prevention, healing, and breaking down the systemic obstacles that too often prevent individuals from receiving the care they desperately need. We honor Knightly by creating a pathway for healing and support, ensuring that no one else has to face these challenges alone.
Gordo’s Guardian Angel
– Honoring Claudia’s advocacy for those who felt voiceless,
extending to the protection and welfare of animals.
A beloved colleague, Claudia, a true light and fierce advocate
for ensuring equitable treatment for the voices of individuals
whose English is a second language (non-native English speakers) was also deeply connected to nature, animals and holistic healing. This grant supports animal welfare by funding free or reduced-cost supplies, low-cost or free dog training, and animal-assisted healing programs for marginalized communities. It emphasizes promoting the adoption of rescue animals, helping families become responsible pet owners, and preventing re-homing and animal abuse, while ensuring the therapeutic benefits of animal companionship are accessible to all.
